Uncovering You 5 is done… but I’m not releasing it.

All right guys, girls, and readers everywhere… here’s what’s up:

We’re on the eve of Uncovering You 5’s release date, and I have to make a difficult decision: whether to publish the book or not.

Is the book written? Yes.  Has it been edited and is it ready to be published? Yes.

    But will I do it?

    No.

    Here’s why:

The book does not do justice to the story. I want to bring back the intensity you loved in UY1 and UY2.  I’ve read the reviews.  I know that you thought UY3 and (more so) UY4 were weak.

I don’t want to follow those up with another ‘meh’ book. My current version of UY5 isn’t awful.  It’s just not great.  I knew it from the moment I finished it a week ago.

I’ve been mulling my options for the past few days.  I tried to edit it, but that was a disaster.  The book demands a rewrite.  Why?  Because this is the most pivotal part of the story.  Everything comes out.  All the questions that have been building are finally going to be answered.  You’ll finally learn the depths of Stonehart’s depravity.  You’ll learn why Lilly was the one chosen by him. And you’ll see a world that has only been hinted at before.

I want to do it right.

I took a few days away from writing to clear my head.  Now I’m back and more inspired than ever.  I wrote a new draft for UY5 and I love it.  LOVE it.  That same excitement I felt when writing UY1 is back.  And (you could probably tell) it was missing from UY3/4.

So the next question that comes to mind is “when”.  When is the book going to be released?  When is it coming out?

Uncovering You 5 will be out some time in July.  I don’t want to commit to a firm date yet, so that I don’t miss it again.

But I’ll keep you updated on my blog.  If you haven’t yet, sign up for my mailing list so that you don’t miss it when it comes out.

Now, how am I going to make it up to you?  I’ll double the length.  Uncovering You 5 is going to encompass the plot I originally had for UY5 and 6.  It will be full and meaty and freaking awesome.  No more short serials.  Instead, you get full books.

The only favor I’d ask of you… is that if you see this letter… please let other readers know.  Only a tiny fraction of everyone who’s followed along with the series actually comes to my website.  Those who don’t visit the blog won’t know where Uncovering You 5 is, and will get mad when they don’t find it tomorrow.

One final thought.  A rushed book is forever bad, while a delayed book is eventually good.  That’s the  philosophy that sealed my decision.  Everything I have, I owe to you.  I could release a book that I’m unhappy with, which in turn would disappoint you… or, I can hold off, rewrite, and give you something awesome.  Neither choice is ideal, but I’m trying to pick the lesser of two evils.

Anyway.  I hope you stick around.  The story of Lilly Ryder and Jeremy Stonehart is about to take on a whole new intensity.

  Love,

  Scarlett Edwards

  June 30th, 2014.

This sucks! I've been waiting all day yesterday for it to appear on Amazon and now I come here discovering that it has been canceled! Not only that but the author canceled because of reviewers. I don't want to read something that isn't 100% hers. I want to read something that she wrote from her heart even if others disregard. So not paying for the next book.

Hi Scarlett, take your time and don't get under presure. We love your books and can wait. Writing is a creative act. You need a free spirit and an open heart. To the story: I would be happy if Lilly and Jeremy come closer emotionally. Otherwise it is too hard to understand, why Lilly is so fascinated by him. Jerem'y plan to involve her in his business has been a good direction.
Warm greetings from Germany

I'm glad I came to your blog and read that you didn't forget book 5!!! So many folks are po'd if you don't listen to reviews, yet po'd that you listened and wanted to write a better book for us!! Sounds like you can't win for losing!! I'm thrilled that you're writing the book your way! I've been a huge fan of yours forever and will continue to be a fan, regardless of how long it takes for you to rewrite this book. You go, honey!! I'm a fan for life!!!

I must be obsessed because I set a rolling reminder in my calendar to buy U5. Imagine my disappointment to not seeing it day after day, I had thought you'd forgotten about us. I don't normally leave reviews (aside from stars) or write authors, but after reading this I wanted to let you know I understand. As a writer (not published, just for myself) I understand the critic we can put on ourselves and can understand wanting to get it perfect for your fans. I personally loved the series, and being that I ALWAYS have to finish a book, even if it's flawed, call it an OCD type need to tie loose ends, it's now become necessary to find out the whys of your next book. So please let us all know when it's finished. I'm dying here! And thank you for updating us :)

Scarlett, thanks for your candor and your note. I will admit to being disappointed in UY4, but was still looking forward to the next installment. I look forward to UY5!

I am no longer disappointed with your stutter steps and your undelivered promises to release the 5th edition - I am just done with you completely. You need to get a serious grip - you're not writing artful, highbrow literature - you're writing fun, quick read trash. To say you're not releasing what you've written because you want to "get it right" and deliver the same intensity to the conclusion that you did in vol. 1 and 2, is almost laughable. You have a seriously inflated opinion of the literary quality if your books and you're obviously unencumbered by self doubt. While I enjoyed reading 1-4, your antics over the course of the past several weeks and your continued delays mark the end for me. I won't read Uncovering You 5 or anything else you write any longer. Instead, I'll move on to the plethora of authors who write books just like yours and have a firm grasp on reality and what their work actually is - quick, trashy, fun, sexually charged reads that allow the reader to lose themselves for a while.

The fact that you took the time to bash the author is the only laughable display I see here. I understand your angst in having to wait a bit longer to read the book but to feel the need to put her down when all she wants to do is make sure that you are not disappointed in the latest addition to the UY series and quiet frankly I do not see where she would benefit in having "fans" such as yourself here to criticize her anyways.

Thanks for the update.

In a way, I feel though, that you take too much insights into the reviews. It is critique. It is criticism. It is what's not.

You shouldn't have to alternative your story based on reviews - whether they fall in love, have more drama, etc. If you're doing it for the readers to feel that their wishes are getting answered, I think that is a big downfall. Please don't alternate the story because of what readers want to happen, but what YOU want to happen.

That's all I have to say and even though I am disappointed, I will be awaiting the next sequel.

I agree with Pauline and you. When you write, you have to write what you feel inside and what you WANT. Ultimately, it is not up to others. Reviews do help, yes. But I feel that the storyline is going to be warped because of those folks word.

Charlie

100% agree, you can't please everyone and I feel if you write you books based on reviews you are at risk of losing your voice as a writer, which is why people like your books in the first place.

Just my opinion :)

You had me waiting an entire 24 hours before coming out with this...this was an entirely frustratig expearience. I am deeply disappointed by you. Not because the book is late but because you had us waiting the entire release day sharing this information - ignoring your readers comments, probably on purpose. I am done with the series now - I've been anxiously waiting for part 5 but after this experience you ruined it all for me. I am sorry but that's how I feel about it.
And come on - sometime in July? You've got to be kidding us. Don't start this all releasing-a-book-in-parts-concept when you're obviously not able to keep up with it and treat your readers respectfully.

You sound like you're breaking up with a boyfriend. Relax! She made a major decision that affected both her fans and herself. Are you a writer?! Do you know how hard it is to make a decision like that? I don't know, but I can only imagine. Trying to please your readers is not easy. She made the right choice. Yeah we could have been told sooner, but again, she made a big decision. Your comment was a little dramatic, especially the part about being done with the series. Hey! I don't care if you don't buy them any more, but keep that to yourself. Expressing negativity is no way to make your point. I also advise you to learn to patience, it is a virtue...and you, ma'am, have none.

As a writer, she should have the decency to convey to us that it wasn't going to be on today. She confirmed on Facebook yesterday that it was going to be out today and it isn't. That is what is disappointing.

It is rude. It is disrespectful. To know that people's reviews has influenced her that much really makes me not want to read it anymore. I liked that it was her ideas, from her mind, from her heart. Now, people opinions are going to be inputted when she rewrites.

I don't feel that it's going to be genuine. And that is my problem. I will not be purchasing the next installment.

Chill Out your loss
6/30/2014 04:34:09 pm

it is disappointing though. I understand how she feels. We have had patience and it hasn't paid off. A writer shouldn't be basing her books on what her readers are saying. She should write the books as the characters develop and if the readers don't like it, some will. Some won't. they will, however, get over it. Put your books out when you say you are going to and you will have more satisfied readers. That's all I'm saying.

Life happens and was I disappointed with the delay? Yes absolutely. That said, she has captivated me with her books (Although I am hoping in this next book Lily finally has some real hope) I would rather wait for a well written book that is true to the story & her vision as opposed to a piece of crap that pisses me off in the end because she felt compelled to meet a deadline rather than give all of us who want a very well written book. It's been said good things come to those that wait and in this case I am a true believer. So just sit back, chill and wait for wonderful as opposed to mediocre :))

I, for one, am glad that you decided to do a rewrite because if a book you write is making you unhappy than you should take care of yourself first. Since the characters, Lily and Jeremy are your babies, so to speak, it would make more sense that you write their story the way thy tell you to. I have read numerous series books and I have found yours to be one of the most intriguing so far. Take your time and do not feel pressured due to impatient fans. If they are that into the books than they will wait for you to finish your editing and rewriting; good luck and I hope this book is the best yet!!!

I was looking forward to getting home today from work. After the last delay, I didn't think there would be another one. But THERE IS. It is disrespectful to readers who look forward to reading her books. She should've told us yesterday or the day before so we know not to expect it. Absolutely disappointed and in no way will my hard earn cash be wasted on an author who can't have some initiative to let her fans know prior to the release date. Communication is everything and yesterday, she left a comment on Facebook even confirming it's release. I will just imagine what Lily and Jeremy's ending is. It's clear that she is letting reviews dictate how she writes.

I understand a book isn't ready, but I am really getting tired of this. You are not the only author that has emphatically promised to have a book out by a certain date and then to push it back sometimes by months. Right now I can name at least 5 authors that are doing this. I am beginning to see a pattern that is becoming very unpleasant and rude. You and the other authors should not give a release date unless you are absolutely sure you can deliver on that promise.

I agree. Calm down. Writers have lives too. They don't just sit there in a bubble and write non stop with out eating or sleeping. And I'm sure just like us shit happens in their own lives too which might impact their lives outside their writing. So if you're done. Fine don't buy it and if you're not then keep an eye out in July for it but overall keep the negativity to yourself. I'm sure if you had to make a difficult decision in your own life you wouldn't appreciate hundreds of people making you feel worse than you probably already do.
I don't know another author that listens so much to her fans and critics, maybe she should just ignore the lot of you and write what she wants, when she wants and damn the consequences.
It must be hard all you perfect people out there with your perfect lives that don't make a single bad choice or ever dissapoint anyone with a decision you make. Your expectations are unrealistic. Life isn't perfect, things don't always go to plan and I think a book not coming out in time should be pretty low on your list of things to complain about.
I look forward to reading the next part when ever that may be.

Our expectations? Basically, June 30th was an euphemism for "second chance". She could've told her readers that it wasn't coming out yesterday, instead, she let people wait for over 12 hours since midnight. That is not cool. Communication is everything like everyone says and she didn't.

What she did has nothing to do with whether she has a life or not and everything to do with disrespect and dishonesty. A shame really.

Is it really that serious? Why don't you all find something better to do with your lives than tell this author that she has made a bad decision? You would've been more pissed at her if she had just released it, you paid for it, and then it be a bust. I agree with you angry bloggers, it should've been announced sooner, but it wasn't, so find another way to occupy your time until it's here. IT'S A BOOK, NOT A LIFE CHANGING EVENT.

Just got email. I am happy that you are doing this. As a writer you want your best out there. I don't mind the wait! I actually haven't read 4 yet, partially due to the story but also had a lot of must read and review books. I will definitely be looking forward to book 5. Glad you took a short break and came back with something you feel better about! I was hooked since book 1 and will continue to buy your books. Thank you for your honesty and for not putting out a piece of your work you weren't happy with! This is your story to tell and it should be the way you want it, us the readers will appreciate it more and it will reflect in the story. Thank you!

Wow.

I understand that as an author, these type of things happen within the process.

Yet, to push the due date back once and now doing it again is just ridiculous. It really sets a tone for her professionalism in the business world. She shouldn't have made a due date that she couldn't meet.

Also, I agree with the also comments. Saying you are rewriting due to reviews really degrades your book. Isn't it your book and your ideas? Why are you letting reviewers influence your storyline? If it is not your idea; it's not your book in a very loose sense. I really liked the first four, but then again IT IS MY OPINION - just like all these people who said they didn't like it.

But you shouldn't let others dictate how you write. That's my problem going into this next book that I will purchase, but I will, in the back of head, know that it isn't 100% organic due to how you said you were affected by people's reviews. Yes, we all need money, but being an author shouldn't be about that. It comes second after your passion.

Disappointed.

Just to make that clear - what many people complain about here is not the fact that she wants the book to be perfect and decided to rewrite it. This is something I have respect for. What makes people frustrated and angry is the way she handled it - mostly that she waited the entire release before communicating that - knowing that most of her readers already refreshed Amazon the 500th time. Everybody was asking her whats going on - but nothing. That appears like she did that on purpose…to me this letting your readers down. And that's what I am disappointed about

What the heck!!! I literally waited all day, have paid about 15 bucks already and you decide because of some comments by non-authors to not release the next book??? If you are going to delay it because of that, then combine books 5and 6 and be done with it in the next book. I am tired of waiting. Especially because of such a weak excuse. I will get the next one, simply because I am invested in the story now. I will not get anymore serials after this tho. I am done with them. This has left a bad taste in my mouth.

I guess all we can hope for are more of these ridiculous e-cards on fb. I am getting personal? Yes! Am I ashamed of it? No

And here is why:

She did that on purpose, that is nothing you just spontaneously decide until the release day. After an entire day of waiting she throws us a piece of information and disappears again.
Furthermore - come on, you write what the fans ask you the write. OMG, I sure as hell don't wanna read it. I wanted to read YOUR story, not what others dictate you.

We understand, completely, that you want to write us a book worth reading. Absolutely acceptable and understandable.
What happen was the way you went about it. You confirmed to a fan on Facebook saying it was going to be release tomorrow. Now understand, some of us are heavily invested into the story and will refresh Amazon 120843953 times starting at midnight and stay up late awaiting its arrival. You knew this. Without a doubt, you knew this. You knew this and you decided that "Oh hey, let me make them wait toward the end to announce the bombshell news."
Business wise? No. Professional? No. Acceptable? No. You have delayed once, & I think everyone was understanding people you informed us five days in advance. This time, you just decided to make us wait and got our hopes up.
Also, I agree with the comments referring to the reviews. I feel that you are letting them get to your head. You should write the way you want because people will judge you regardless. It is funny too because you would post philosophical quotes on Facebook and now you, yourself, is a victim of it. This really disappoints me because reviews shouldn't change the course of the storyline. That is an author's passion to write. The story that you invented, not what others come up with. Not looking forward to the next book - the adrenaline is not there a bit.

Frankly, I think this was a publicity stunt to get the readers talking about it. Maybe they will mention it to their friends in frustration, Friends get curious and buy series to see what the fuss is about. I am surprised no one thought of this already.

Hi Scarlett, let me just say one more time what everyone is trying to tell you: consider tht we have waited long enough for the book to be released. I live in Italy, I waited all the night so sure as hell this reader is not pleased to hear UY5 ha been delayed ONE MORE FUCKING TIME. Your luck is that we are all invested in the story at this time, too way invested to just give up and move on. But that doesn't change the fact that a writer, a professional and fair one, shouldn't change his mind the way you did, with a very weak excuse which smells like cowardy and breaking all the previous promises. Your readers are patient, but remember: patience, as well as respect and affection, once gained is not granted forever. This time, try to be fair to us.

Ok, so I normally don't leave blog messages AT ALL. But I have to say this, I'd rather there be a delay and the book be something you can live with (it is YOUR work after all, and I'd rather you be fine with it no matter what any one else has to say). And as for the others who are complaining....they need to step back, breath, and be grateful you aren't George R.R. Martin (you know a book every 5 years or so) LOL.

I regret having started the series. Not because she decided to rewrite to make it better! Noo! That is not why!
Because of the unbelieveble way she treats her readers, her communication policy and the fact she purposely made everyone wait.
And because the story gets dictated by the fans ... That is crazy.
I wish I hadn't started with these books - especially because the releasing-in-parts-idea did not convince me in the first place. Last book by this author ever. Sorry! Very disappointed!

Scarlett,
I am no longer going to be following you or spending money on your writing, and here's why:
Although I have enjoyed the first 4 installments of UY I am disappointed and really disgusted in your lack of faith and respect for your readers.
It is apparent by your announcement that you knew that UY 5 was not going to be coming out on June 30, yet you said nothing to those who are following you. I can only assume that this was a result of being an ostrich, or poor advise.
I do wish you luck on your endeavors and commend you on not pushing out shit just to make dead lines. All decisions have consequences, mine will be not knowing what will become of Lily and Jeremy… fortunately for me there are thousands of worth while books to read. Yours will be not receiving any more of my hard earned money … a drop in the bucket, but I am sure mine is not the only drop.
Wishing you better choices in the Future,
Amanda

Hi Scarlett...... am I upset, shattered, and going crazy because this book was not released on time? YES, but I totally understand why you are doing this. My thoughts about 50 Shades of Gray..... I loved books one and two with all my heart but felt that Christian Gray was so very mild in book three. That is why Chrisitan can no longer be my number one. I needed that same intensity throughout the entire series and it was not delivered. Take for instance Travis Maddox, WOW! He never changed and stayed true to himself to the end. Jamie McGuire knew how to write about his character thru the end. I need that for Stoneheart as well. All I have to say is TAKE YOUR TIME but also HURRY UP as well, lol. Thanks and can't wait.

Thanks for your input. She is going to be taking it into consideration when writing just like all these other reviews. The book is no longer organic. Sure Christian may have changed, but atleast EL James didn't let other people dictate where her story was going and that is the true mark of a good author.

To us readers Lily and Stonehart are so real that sometimes we (meaning me) what just to either b+*#h slap her into doing something or kill him when he hurts he again or run to the police to tell them someone is being abused!! Please give us a little teaser- Do I love him or hate him? Also maybe a tentative date?

Coming on here, a lot of these comments are hurtful, but some of them are the true of the matter. Reading her statement, it is clear that she is rewriting because of the negative reviews that she has been getting from people. To let people's opinions interfere with how you write and ultimately, change your storyline, is a huge downfall to loyal readers. The storyline should be yours, no? Not what other people want it to be and now that I know it isn't going to be completely her ideas and intellectual prowess, I am no longer going to enjoy the book as much I did previously. Again, that is my opinion, but the review comment is fact. I feel really disappointed because she is changing it to please the fans. It should be about her, not us.

What a bunch of whiners! Please at the beginning ALL of us were told this was going to be 6 short books . At least we were told up front unlike some of these Authors that just keep dragging the story into the "The Never Ending Story". Ms. Edwards is a new writter and from what I have read a very good one. My regular writters take anywhere from 1 to 2 years to release there books, so an extra month is no time at all.
For those of you going off on the author sit down and write a story that makes you proud then bitch. Because I can guarantee that it will take ALOT longer than 20/30 days. Be Well .

People aren't complaining how she is taking the extra time to write it 'bitch'. People are disappointed because she let reviews dictate how the storyline is going to go and the lack of communication. She posted on Facebook the day prior to the release that it was going to go up. Don't get fans waiting at midnight refreshing Amazon like 10023834 times if you ain't going to follow through 'bitch.' Totally unnecessary for you to have to use a curse word, but okay.

Mindy used the word "bitch" to describe the posters actions. She did not refer to any one person and call "them" a bitch! See the difference? If not, you are proving your ignorance of the English language, and you might be attempting to read material above your reading level. There are some good "cat in the hat" books which are more appropriate to your 1st grade reading comprehension!
To all the posters who feel it necessary to swear at, bash, or put down this author..... GROW UP!!! There are REAL ISSUES in this world that are worthy of losing your cool over. THIS isn't one of them! It's a book, for goodness sakes!!! Yes, we love this series. Yes, we are excited to continue with book 5. It's not life and death here! I, personally, am facing a medical crisis and this series has helped me lose myself for a few hours as I read. I don't claim that my life is in ruins because the book is late to come out. None of us should lose the perspective that this is an escape from reality.... It isn't reality!!! If you choose to stop reading this author's work, fine. It's your choice. Now the rest of us reasonable adults will wait PATIENTLY for book 5. End of!

I was really hoping she would explain herself…Tell her readers why she left them purposely waiting and didn't share this earlier. But no comment on that. Since this is why people are upset (and the fact that she is getting too influenced by reviewers) it would have helped if she had explained her rude behavior. I think many who were very upset in the first place would have been a little pacified by that.
But since she still thinks this is unnecessary I will stick to my decision that UY4 (which I did NOT consider weak or less intense!!) will be my last book in the series. I will move on to more reliable and honest authors who appreciate their readers and show them some respect

That said - I hate you... kidding. Hard call, but in the end only you have to be happy with the results. Authors that write only for the reader seldom do good books.

Some of you are absolutely horrible and snarky. It is a BOOK, not the end of the world. Some of you must fall about when they don't have your favorite salad dressing at the grocery store. I would hate to see some of you in a REAL crisis.

Just to put it out there.. I WILL be reading the following books in the series. HOWEVER, I can't believe how badly this was handled. Come 'release date', she has all these fans eagerly searching for her new book. She had numerous posts on fb asking about it. And surprise surprise we hear nothing. Until 2 hours AFTER 'release date' (UK time). Its unprofessional. Its like she sat there just thinking "ahh I'll let them stew a bit longer" Why would you do that? Its clearly annoyed alot of people. Its not making her look good.

No one is complaining about the release date, lol. They are complaining about how she didn't communicate it with us. Mrs. Day convey it with her readers that there isn't a release date - absolutely understandable. This author however, decided to delay the release date once and then once again because of people's reviews. Utterly pathetic that she is taking people's opinion and having it affect her story. Read before you interpret what people are saying.

I am disappointed about the delay of UY5, but if Scarlett is going to put 5 and 6 into one full-sized novel, I, for one, am willing to wait. I wasn't at first, but after some thinking and reading about the combo of the two books into one, I am on board again. Thanks for doing that Scarlett. I will be waiting patiently until it comes out. Now that I am getting the newsletter, I won't worry that I will miss it. Meanwhile, I have enough books on my Kindle to read to tide me over until it is out. I look forward to finding out the truth. I have my theory, and am curious to see if I am right. Good luck Scarlett!!

Anything worth doing well sometime takes time. I can wait. I disagree that UY4 was weak. Yes, it didn't take the intensity as the others but I figured it was a set for books to come.

I am so excited to get answers. I do hope Lilly gets some type of revenge.

Hi, Scarlet! I have thoroughly enjoyed reading UY1-4 and have been hooked from the beginning. I love your concept and storyline and am intrigued with how you will bring their story to a conclusion. While I was planning on reading UY5/6 on the beach in the Caribbean while celebrating my 25th wedding anniversary, I will simply read another book during that time. It is more important that you be true to yourself and your characters instead of appeasing a group of naysayers. In the mean time, ignore the nasty comments and ugly name-calling. Frankly, it speaks volumes about the flaws in their character. I look forward to reading what everyone wants...A great book!

Enough with all the delays already! What makes it worse is that you had the audacity to not convey the message to readers who were waiting on you since midnight. You didn't release it because people had their share of reviews and they didn't liked how the story was going? For your information, it is YOUR story - no one else. Their opinions shouldn't have an input on how you write as an author.

I just went to the books section on Ms. Edwards site. Under UY6, she has (finally) given a date as to when this book will be released. I'm not sure, but I think that the blog stated UY5 and UY6 were to be merged into one book. If so, this leads me to believe that the combined book should be released on 7/30/2914!!!!! Hope I'm correct!!! I'm still waiting, as patiently as humanly possible! Go, Scarlett!!! Write that baby!!!! 😉👍👏

While you guys are waiting, check out This Man trilogy by Jodi Ellen Malpas. All the books are out, and it is the best series I have ever read. I am just a fan and do not get anything out of recommending this trilogy. But just to pass the time, it is funny, romantic and dirty.

Normally I don't leave comments on these blogs but, what the hell, why not right??
Scarlett, I have been reading these posts and a lot of mixed reviews. As a writer, I have to agree with many on here. Forget the fact that you pissed people off with not 1 but, a couple delays on this next installment but more importantly, you've sold out! You wrote something that was your idea and now, you admit to changing it due to fans reactions on here. So, this next installment is written not by you per say but, written now, by your fans. That is just sad! I was looking forward to U5 but sadly, I will not be purchasing it. I wanted to read something from you, not your fans. I could do that for free just by coming here. I told many people about this series and now, have told them to move on and spend their money on writers who put out a complete book or look for completed series. I hope this has not hurt you too much and you go on to putting out completed books in the future. I will just have to imagine my own ending for Lilly. I guess that is what we would be getting anyway.

Hi Scarlett,

I was one of the readers that beat you up pretty bad on UY4 and UY5. I did feel less of the enthusiasm in both those books there was a lull of sorts in the storyline. I am happy that you are doing what you honestly feel is the right thing to do. It is after all your work, unfortunately criticism comes with the territory and while it can hurt if looked at objectivity can make you the better writer by knowing what your fans hope enjoy in your books. I look forward to the rewrite. Relax and enjoy the ride of your writing.
